Messy Mama creations and patterns
The boys received some cool little pirate ships to build and paint for Christmas. We spent a while glueing and painting together, and then I received my orders to finish them off! I suggested we create a background for them so we could take some pictures, and Bean immediately said “Yes!! AND a pirate island, mum!” and promptly went off to invent new things out of lego with his brother.
Flour paste, cardboard, plastic tat, and newspaper. I was in my element. I LOVE making things like this. Didn’t matter that the boys were only vaguely interested in “helping”! To their credit, they did create a few rocks for the island…
A few days later it was time to paint the creation. LOTS more fun.
BOTH boys’ eyes widened when they saw it, and that was only the first coat of paint!
And it wasn’t long before the paint was dry and they could take it away to play with 🙂
Of course the lego came into play – the monkeys, a Hero Factory island, and of course Bear’s paramedic which is incorporated into every game they play.
Lots of fun!
