Messy Mama creations and patterns
This really ought to be called “What happens when Jeni is left alone with a tub of sprinkles and a packet of writing icing to decorate a cake”.
I hope my Bear likes it!! He turned three yesterday. Our smallest, toughest, little superhero. The SpiderBear. I wrapped his presents in the morning while he was distracted watching Bing on Cbeebies, as we’d only arrived back from Sussex at gone midnight and nobody was in a fit state to wrap presents after that drive. The boys played with Bear’s new lego, we survived the day after a drive home, and today I made his birthday cake ready to take with us tomorrow for his birthday tea at the grandparents’ house.
He’s not a cake lover.
He likes the icing.
So I’ve made him (for the second time!) a chocolate-and-icing “cake”!
The top layer is white chocolate and cream with rice crispies.
The middle layer is milk chocolate and cream with chopped fudge pieces and mini marshmallows.
The bottom layer is a mix of dark chocolate and cream, and dark chocolate orange and cream, with sliced bits of milky way bars.
With a bit of didn’t-know-when-to-stop writing-icing-and-sprinkles decoration on top…
