Messy Mama creations and patterns
These little snowflake decorations take very little time to hook up! I’m using white dk acrylic and a 3.5mm hook for these to give them a little more rigidity.
The photos are going to be phone snaps until my husband gets back from Germany and can fix my photo software unfortunately – soooo frustrating but please bare with me!
I HAVE MY PHOTO SOFTWARE BACK YIPPEE!!
Sc 12 into a magic circle, draw together and ss to join.
Row 1: Ch2, hdc in same st, 2 hdc in each stitch around (24st).
Row 2: Ch5, *sk 1 st, dc in next stitch, ch2*. Repeat from * to * around, sl st in 3rd ch to join.
Row 3: Ch1, sc in same st, *2 sc in ch2 space, sc in top of dc*. Repeat from * to * around, finishing with 2 sc in ch2 space and sl st to join.
Row 4: Ch3, htr (halfway between a dc and a tr – draw yarn through final 3 loops on hook instead of a full tr), *dc, hdc, sl st, hdc, dc, (htr, ch1, htr) in same st,* Repeat from * to * around, finishing with htr in same st as first htr, then dc into top of first htr to join.
Row 5: *Ch10, sk 7 st, sl st into ch1 space, ch6, sl st into same ch1 space*. Repeat from * to * around.
Row 6: *Ch2. (3 hdc, dc, htr, ch1, htr, dc, 3hdc) into ch10 space, sl st into sl st at base of next ch6. (2sc, ch2, 2sc, 4ch, 2sc, ch2, 2sc) into ch6 space. sl st into base of next ch10.* Repeat from * to * around, finishing with a sl st into top of initial ch2.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Block and starch if wanted! I’m going to gently block these upside down, then spray them with starch to stiffen them up (if I get chance!)
