Peacock Tutu Dress

This was SUCH an enjoyable make! I’d wanted to make a tutu dress for AGES but I don’t have girls and my boys aren’t really into dresses at the moment – they want masks and superhero capes and shields and spiderman and stuff.

I found some gorgeous cotton on sale at my local St Anns Hospice shop (they have a wall full of yarn, I LOVE going in there and seeing what colours they have in!) and had to buy some. It was intended for another project but when my friend asked if I could make a peacock tutu dress I knew what I was going to use that yarn for!

I used Di Greenall’s Ladybird Tutu Dress pattern, bought my first ever tulle rolls, and had an absolute ball putting the tutu skirt onto the crocheted top.

Hope you like it as much as I did!

Yes – that’s sheets of skirt netting – far too stiff! I’m learning from my mistakes ALL the time šŸ™‚

One day I’ll brave the large rolls of sheet tulle for a skirt šŸ˜‰
